Every time I go to write one of these posts I’m just dumbfounded by how quickly these months fly by. It seems like October only began yesterday and now November is less than 24 hours away.
Things around here have been zany (surprise, surprise) but October has been a good month. I’ve tried to embrace all that it has to offer with its changing leave colors and cooler temperatures. I finally got out my heavier coat out and unpacked my boots. I’ve been busy in the kitchen embracing the autumnal harvest with winter squash, collard greens and lots of hearty soups and stews. I celebrated my, first, 29th birthday and started chipping away at my 30 before 30 list. I continued the process of trying to find a balance between everything that’s going on in my life while still enjoying the moments (what seems to be greatest challenge in life). And, I enjoyed weekends filled with my favorite fall pastime - watching college football, drinking beer and eating the best hot wings in Milwaukee. October may have flown by, but it certainly didn’t leave me disappointed.
Goodbye to my favorite month of the year, and welcome November!
